London Dungeon: A scary Medieval Age attraction

Someone said a correct phrase – The World is not enough. In this world, you will get many different kinds of attractions that draw millions of tourists to explore it. Out of that, one attraction has gained world popularity due to its unique feature. ‘The London Dungeon’ is actually of the major attractions of London that lies in the Tooley Street close to the London Bridge rail station. It brings the history of different tortures from the Medieval Age.

The London Dungeon presents all the past brutal and ghastly historical events in a severely comedic, gallows homour style. It is simply some of the attempts to make appeal to the younger generation. The London Dungeon uses an assortment of live actors, special effects and the fascinating and thrilling rides. Opened in the year 1976, the London Dungeon was initially a museum of horrible history that was later evolved to become an interactive experience through the actors that pulls visitors from every corner of the country and the world.

London Dungeon is operated by the Merlin Entertainments that also operates other famous attractions like Madame Tussauds, Legoland, London Eye, Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures, Heide Park, Sea Life, Gardaland, and Warwick Castle. The interior of London Dungeon is heavily themed with the flame effects, tolling bells, and different still scenes of torture for the visitors.

Labyrinth of the Lost is a large mirror maze that is themed around the crypt of All Hallows Church in London.

The Great Plague was started in the year 1665 at the time of the Great Plague of London. London was described as puzzled with bubonic plague due to which thousands were died. You can hear the recorded cries that are of panic and pain and shouts simply to bring out the dead.

The Great Plague was later closed to open a new attraction in the year 2009 that is Surgery: Blood and Guts. It introduces the 18th century butcher surgeon of Tooley Street. Here you will get full of fresh body parts, rusty blood covered surgical instruments, dog-eared anatomical diagrams, puss-ridden bandages, surplus or partly dissected corpses of earlier patients.

Traitor: Boat Ride to Hell is a show of boat ride that is themed to duplicate the last journey into the Tower of London through Traitors’ Gate. The London Dungeon is an attraction that cannot be found in other place in the world and is heavily themed that gives scary as well as humorous events to the tourists.
